Curtis Utley - By enabling the youth to learn and become passionate about floriculture, the CFF ensures the future of the industry. Curtis Utley is a perfect example of foundation money well spent. He is a former recipient of a CFF scholarship and a recent graduate from Colorado State University.

Said Curtis, “I gained an appreciation for agriculture helping out on my grandparent’s farm in North Eastern Colorado. I spent my summer breaks working in different areas of the Plant Industry. Indeed, since middle school, I never wavered from horticulture becoming my career. Thanks in part to the funding I received from the Foundation, I was able to receive a degree in horticulture and now work for the Cooperative Extension Office in Jefferson County.”

“It is an incredible job,” said Curtis, “each day is different as we never know what growers or homeowners are going to bring into the plant diagnostic clinic. Assisting Industry professionals and homeowners with their plant problems is very rewarding. I love the challenge of the work. Thank you Colorado Floriculture Foundation patrons, I owe a lot to you.”
