Colorado State University Trial Grounds

Funds help ensure the successful expansion, progress, development and future of the Colorado State University trial gardens.

Regional CSU Extension Plant Disorder Assistance
The Foundation provides funds to help maintain and equip a regional plant diagnostic laboratory where diseases and growth problems can be evaluated.

Holley Research Professorship and Endowment Fund
The Foundation established an Endowment at Colorado State University to support a part time Professor who coordinates timely floriculture research for the industry using junior and senior students.

Education and Scholarship Programs
The Phil Gerace Finnel Memorial Scholarship program was established by the Gerace Family within the Foundation as a memorial to their daughter and sister. Each year outstanding horticulture students at Colorado State University are provided a scholarship to help advance their education. Most of the students, through the scholarships, choose horticulture as a career. 2005 Recepient

The Gordon Koon Scholarship Program was established by the
former Charter President of CFF, Gordon Koon. The purpose of the program is to
provide scholarships to students wishing some type of career in the Horticulture industry.

Funding for Colorado’s Agriculture in the Classroom Program
involving the “Colorado Reader” a monthly magazine distributed to over 1000 grade schools in the state. The Reader and teacher’s guide allows the students to understand the connection of Horticulture to Agriculture.
